Biosensors & Medical instrumentation play a very important role in healthcare. Artificial Intelligence is a revolution with many applications. One of them is applications of AI for detection of diseases, support doctors in diagnosis and treatment.

Our lab are interested in all aspects of biosensors, medical instrumentation, and artificial intelligence-for-health. The goal is to develop novel systems, including both hardware and software, to support medical diagnostic and treatment. To do that, we collaborate closely with medical doctors and health professionals.

Some of the technologies that we are developing includes: nanobiosensors for infectious diseases, automatic nucleic acid extractor, low-cost Real-time PCR system, fetal heart rate monitoring using NIR light, optical imaging (fundus camera, smartphone-based microscope, OCT...), AI for skin cancers detection, AI for Alzheimer's Disease detection, AI for heart diseases detection, AI for retinal diseases detection, etc.
