Medical instrumentation play a very important role in healthcare. Artificial Intelligence is a revolution with many applications. Among them are applications of AI for understanding disease, disease screening, medical diagnostics, intervention support, drug development, etc.

Our lab are interested in developing novel methods, instruments, and artificial intelligences for disease understanding, precision disease screening and diagnostics, intervention support, and improving access to healthcare. To do that, we  collaborate closely with medical doctors and healthcare professionals.

 

Specifically, we are interested in:

•    Aim 1: Developing AI models and AI-powered low-cost devices for early detection, diagnostics, and supporting treatment of cancer (e.g., response prediction) via digital pathology.

•    Aim 2: Developing AI models and AI-powered low-cost devices for early detection, diagnostics, and supporting treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.

•    Aim 3: Developing AI models (e.g., vision language models) that can analyze large multi-modal data for insights into the root causes and pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease and cancer for disease prevention and drug development.
